Kawasaki KZ 650 work, August 1, 2009 To John and the Atlantis crew, I just wanted to thank you all again for the amazing work that you did on my bike. It's a brand new machine and I love it. You do incredible work and more importantly you are so cool and friendly and you inform your clients in detail of what was wrong and how you guys made it right. I wrote a good review on Yelp.com for you and I think I should write a better one. I am so stoked! Thank you! I am a Tattoo artist and I work for Kat Von D. They film a reality TV show at our shop called LA Ink on TLC. I need to come down and get an Atlantis T-Shirt so I can wear it during filming and get you guys out there. Also, I'm going to bring you some shirts and hoodies and other stuff. Thanks again sincerely, You rule! Dennis Halbritter High Voltage Tattoo, dhalbritter@gmail.com

Yelp.com has many of our customer reviews in the FILTERED section of their website, we gathered them and posted them here for you.

whoa, I finally found a bike shop‎ By Michael - Jun 7, 2009 I've ridden various old Honda imports for the last 5 years and I've never really known where to take them. I had some downright bad experiences and a couple decent ones, but when I needed a full rebuild on an old motor I still didn't really have a place I trusted. After one conversation with these guys I took a chance, they totally got it. They did great work, great follow-up work, always went out of their way to tighten shit up for me without charge and just plain understood that just because I ride bikes that don't blue book like a Harley or rip wheelies in 2nd I still really cared about my bike. They're probably not the cheapest work you can get, and if that's what you're looking for for your bike then maybe they're not your best choice. But if you love little vintage bikes and want yours running like aces on fire, this should be your bike shop.‎ maps.google.com

Nick P. Los Angeles, CA 5 star rating 5/17/2010 These guys totally transformed my Suzuki 500. I have gone in a few times in the last year and had nothing but an outstanding experience. From the outset John seemed to see the same potential as I did in what is typically just a starter bike. Time and again these guys really surprise me with their great work and willingness to work with my budget. Great shop! Glad they are in the neighborhood.

matt r. Los Angeles, CA 5 star rating 12/4/2009 (yelp.com) Straight up, the most honest, fair bike shop in LA.

Bryan P. Los Angeles, CA 5 star rating 10/7/2009 These guys have helped me with all my needs since I got my '81 Silverwing a couple of years ago: routine maintenance, repair after a wreck, advice, you name it. They're quick to answer questions and are really straight up about everything, in my experience. It's hard to find folks willing to work on older bikes and deal with the headaches they sometimes bring, so I was really grateful to find this place.

Mo H. Los Angeles, CA 4 star rating 10/17/2009 BIKE: A '91 Suzuki GSF400 Bandit with carb issues. Wouldn't idle right and ran horribly. THEY: Supplied up-front quote for cleaning/synching all 4 carbs. Idling issue had them stumped for a couple of days,however- I: was pleasantly surprised when I picked up the bike and it idled perfectly and ran way better. THEY: provided complimentary checkup of many items including tires, brake rotors/pads condition, charging system test, and even cylinder compression results. Five stars for the quality of their work. 3 stars for timeliness (work on bike didn't begin when promised) but I would take my '91 Bandit back anytime and lastly,5 stars for friendliness. SCORE: 4.3 Stars

Benjamin H. Los Angeles, CA 5 star rating 1/8/2010 These guys are super helpful, informative, friendly and hard-working. I have gone to Atlantis time and time again, and despite their prices being a little bit higher than other garages, they always take the time to explain things to me/break it down (in layman's terms). not to mention the work is very good... you can pay less, but will you feel confident with the work done? probably not. on a personal note, John (the friendly guy, who is usually poised behind the register or on the phone), has helped me track down parts for my old bikes, which is totally awesome. these guys are great, especially if you have a classic/antique bike! i think i still owe them some beers... damn... note to self: next time you go into atlantis (which will probably be very soon), bring them some tecate... cheers!

Bennett S. Los Angeles, CA 5 star rating 4/27/2010 I bought a bike here a year ago. I came in blind, not knowing what to expect, and considering I had been looking for awhile, I didn't have terribly high expectations -- there's a lot of flaky bike shops out there. It's a small outfit crammed between some auto shops on a particularly unexciting stretch of Sunset blvd... but I was pleasantly surprised. They knew what they were talking about, and they seemed to have a deep, extensive passion and love for all things motorcycle. Needless to say, I ended up buying a bike that I have since ridden just about every day. Subsequently, I would drop by occasionally, ask questions about certain things. John Q has probably spent at least an hour talking to me OVER THE PHONE about how to do easy fixes to my bike -- not many shop owners would sacrifice some easy money on a naive bike owner to do so. And yes, their shop rates are more expensive than other places, but if you look at it from the labor perspective, it attracts the best mechanics to the shop. I've actually had other mechanics RECOMMEND them based on their knowledge of vintage motorcycles -- there truly is no better shop in the city.

Rayzer P. Los Angeles, CA 5 star rating 5/5/2010 So I just got my 1980 Honda CB 650 about a month ago and living in Silverlake I'd passed their shop many a time and knew they might have a part I "thought" I'd needed.... upon taking my bike in to them I was greeted by their staff Jon, and we started talkin symptoms... within 20 mins we had it narrowed down to something completely different then what I suspected originally, we did some minor take apart in the next 20 mins and sure as hell, exactly what was suspected on their end came to be..... they saved me money and shot straight from the hip for me with no bullshit or anything other then great service and Knowledge and a really refreshing community good will toward a los motorcycle enthusiast, I got nothing but good things to say about my experience with Atlantis, and would recommend them to anyone I know. Thanks Jon and Brian.

Juliette H. Los Angeles, CA 5 star rating 4/17/2010 John and the very professional staff have been handeling my 1969 Vespa for the past year. Going out of there way to accomodate my needs and help me keep it on the road! Service and detailed oriented, absolutly irremplacable family buisness !

d z. Los Angeles, CA 5 star rating 3/13/2010 The crew @ Atlantis is hands down the strongest there is in LA when it comes to working on your vintage, classic or custom ride. John Q is honestly one of the most upfront ethical shop owners around and will do his best to make sure you ride away with a grin on your face and change in you pocket. I honestly cant say enough that would describe what a pleasurable experience it was to have the Atlantis crew work on my 74 CB360 and I would never take my bike anywhere else. Also if you are looking for some custom parts for you rig or need some Silver Lake inspired riding gear you cant beat the prices @ John Q's shop. *****!ATLANTIS IS THE BEST!*****

Alexa D. West Hollywood, CA 5 star rating 7/8/2010 This shop has been amazing with all of my bikes! I literally dealt with the repair shops from hell until I found these guys. Not only did they take ALL 3 of my bikes into their shop immediately after they heard the horrible treatment I had received at other shops in the area, but they quickly and with much communication got the bikes serviced and working as fast as they could. The best line they said to be is "dead costumers are not returning customers"- which honestly made me feel good- bc they cared about servicing me a bike that worked and kept me as safe as possible. All of the previous shops I dealt with (more specifically Al's Motors) left me with a bike that not only broke down after leaving their shops, but put me in serious danger bc they didn't fix things correctly! So, not only did Atlantis get all my bikes running great and/or give me accurate repair info, but they also completely transformed 2 of the bikes- which now are me and my gf pride and joy. My gf and I both ride Honda 75'- CB360 and CB200- they completely transformed our bikes into new rides that are so dope it's crazy. John (the owner) and Sean, and Dave (repair) along with everyone there put serious energy into our bikes- ABOVE and beyond what I even wanted. They are detail oriented and respectful- but above all communicate with me so I always knew what was going on, what I should expect- next steps, suggestions- everything you want from a shop when you put your trust in them- which I had yet to experience from other shops in the area. I'm just soo pleased and would recommend Atlantis to all motorcycle riders in the Silverlake area and beyond. Do note that my transformations were not cheap, but Atlantis took the time to give me a good amount of comped work/repair bc they wanted the best and always provided breakdowns on cost so I never felt ripped off. I spent a lot but it was worth it bc I got exactly what I wanted in return. Nothing is janky or "not what it seems"- and in the end they left me with a bike I am proud to ride everyday! Also note that if I did have any little issues that needed repair, they took our bikes back in at no charge and dealt with in asap. I still have my 1967 Honda Superhawk with them that they are rebuilding the engine on, and making look exactly how they were off the line in 1967- I can't wait! Woohoo to Atlantis- and if anyone needs more info or to speak with me direct about my experience please do not hesitate to contact me- that's how happy I really am with everything.

London May... Los Angeles, CA 7/30/2010 five star.... Well done my new friends! These guys went the distance with my vintage bike and kept it from the scrap heap. Great service, great work, great deal! I am so thrilled to find a new home for my all my motorcycle services!

Eric S. Los Angeles, CA 5 star rating 8/30/2010 The guys at Atlantis Garage are fast, friendly and knowledgeable on all things motorcycle. I purchased several items from them in the past and have never had a negative experience with them or with anything I've bought from them. They are trustworthy and I recommend this place to all my buddies who ride and need replacement parts and/or service done to their bikes, be it sport bikes or cruisers.

Chris M. Los Angeles, CA 5 star rating 8/24/2010 I work on cars/bikes but occasionally cant figure something out. I took my 72 yamaha r5 to atlantis to have the timing adjusted on a saturday and the bike was in and out within an hour and I was only charged 30 min. Bike runs great and everyone working there was really friendly. They stock 2 stroke motul oil also which can be difficult to find.

Brandon M. Los Angeles, CA 5 star rating 8/19/2010 I've been using Yelp for years, but have never really found a reason to actually create an account and write a review... but John at Atlantis Motors has restored my faith in humanity and reignited my love of motorcycles. Long story short, I got a shit deal (I can curse on this thing, right?) on my '72 Honda CB350 at another local vintage bike shop. I was told everything had been rebuilt and readied to go. It hadn't. I lost my enthusiasm for my bike and ended up letting it sit for almost a year. That compounded whatever problems the bike already had. John and his team busted their asses and cut me an overly fair deal to get me back on my bike. It took a few rounds of repairs to diagnose the exact problems as there were countless, including piece-mealed carbs that they ended up not just cleaning but rebuilding. These guys were excited to get me excited about my bike again. They went above and beyond what I could have hoped for and I'll keep coming back here for a long time to come.

Anthony F. Los Angeles, CA 5 star rating 10/6/2010 1 photo Great Local Shop First time I brought my bike in I had some custom work done. The guys worked out a price that we were both happy with. Key here is they worked with me. Second time I brought the bike in they remembered me and I was treated very well.Third repair they did for me had some hick up's I brought the bike back and before I could explain or complain the bike was up on a lift and sorted out. Great owners, great Staff. So if you live on the East side and ride this needs to be your local.

Hlynur M. Los Angeles, CA 5 star rating 9/29/2010 I am a new rider and an owner of a really nice vintage Kawazaki KZ 650 bike. As it goes with vintage bikes somethings is bound to break or snap. I had my clutch cable snap on me in a middle of a ride with my wife on the back, leaving the bike stuck in gear. Very dangerous. But lucky for me I live fairly close to Atlantis and after pushing the bike to their garage they got right on fixing my problems. The service was fast and good and now the gear shifting feels better than ever. They even threw in a change of the dirty break-fluid as a bonus. I must say that their helpful attitude and willingness to give me good deals on maintainance and gear will keep me coming back again and again. And for a fairly new rider that is a very important thing to feel welcome in the vintage biking community and having such great local business to tend to my bike. Plus, it looks like great place to slowly turn the bike into a sleek cafe racer one day.

dave s. Los Angeles, CA 5 star rating 10/20/2010 I just got my motorcycle license and went to a number of shops in the area before picking one. through this process i learned that 90% of people that ride motorcycles think they're better than everyone and are arrogant as hell. They don't welcome new riders at all. I went into Atlantis and they were the exact opposite. Did great work on my back and answered every single question i had with patience. They were thorough and made me feel excited to be getting into the motorcycle world as opposed to the other shows who made me feel intimidated. Take your bike here, they are very nice and do amazing work ds

Birds h. Los Angeles, CA 5 star rating 10/25/2010 I've brought my bike in a couple times to these guys and they are amazing. Super nice, on point, and while they may be a little more pricey, they do the right job, on time and are totally friendly. I used to go to Illuminati which is the worst, most crap shop in Silverlake. Atlantis rules in comparison. Thanks guys!!!

Trip D. Venice, CA 5 star rating 11/1/2010 These guys rule! I will open by saying that these guys made an exceptionally good impression on me. I just bought a 74 Honda cb750 (from a private party), it needed to get dialed in, and wanted to get it done right. Their reputation is so strong I sought them out all the way from Venice Beach. I was not let down. All three guys I met and dealt with, Sean, John, and Brian we're exceptionally genuine, communicative, and friendly. So refreshing to get from a group of mechanics! If I have one thing leaning to the negative side to say which is good because it validates the honesty of my review. They advertise they give you a full run down of the bike and assess all it needs and then give you a quote. Well once they got my bike, before they started on it and were diagnosing they did seem a bit disorganized. My first quote from them didn't have some of things I even asked to get done. Now once they got into my bike and started working on it I felt %100 attention and customer service. The work order grew and I feared the outcome of the bill. To my dismay I think I came out very well, and my bill was where I anticipated where it would be before we even started. My bike is running great and the guys have been exceptionally helpful with any questions I've had. The guys at Atlantis run an exceptional operation that gives you faith in private business owners. Not only is my bike flying up the "1" flawlessly but it feels even better when you know the work was done by a group of proficient, genuine, hardworking dudes who are just trying to get it right without ripping you off.

J D. Los Angeles, CA 5 star rating 11/9/2010 These guys rock! John and Sean know so much about vintage bikes its incredible. I took my 73 CB350 here for a carb adjustment and not only is the bike running perfectly now, they were able to spot some looming issues that would have compromised my motorcycles safety. This was great but the crazy thing is, I had gotten a POORLY DONE carb adjustment from another shop just shortly before and that other shop never even caught the glaring problems with my bike. As a new rider, Atlantis' expertise is priceless and in some cases, life saving!

jamin m. Los Angeles, CA 5 star rating 11/2/2010 Nicest down to earth bike shop I've ever been to, lots of great parts and bikes and none of the attitude and sales pressure you get at most other bike shops. It's really nice to have these guys in the neighborhood.

Mike P. Los Angeles, CA 5 star rating 10/18/2010 I've had a project bike for over a year (1973 cb350) and pretty much went as far as I could without professional help. Once my expertise reached its limit I took it to a near-by mechanic. I'm not one to bad-talk oher shops however they were quick to do that. They took care of most of my problems however the customer service was sub par and inefficiencies with time, communication, payment estimates etc were rampant. After getting my bike from the other shop my electrical shorted the first time I turned it on and I was over it. I dreaded having to take it back so searched an alternative. Atlantis Motors was the light at the end of the tunnel. They went through the bike gave me estimates, opinions, options and a time frame for the work. Although they knew the other shop talked bad about them they wouldn't say a negative thing about my previous mechanic. They said "we're all here to help each other out, it shouldn't be a competition". With that kind of mentality no wonder they're so successful... With the deposit they did a complete inspection of the bike, their recommendations of what needed to be changed, level of importance, prices, labor everything! The owner JOHN was a pleasure to work with and took the time to put things in lamens terms and clear. There were other problems not associated with the electrical system that could prevent problems from happening in the future and luckily Atlantis noticed these flaws before I got out on the road. Being a talent manager I manage people's careers for a living. I've met few companies as efficient as Atlantis and the fact they're a motorcycle shop with that level of customer service, compassion and patience blew my mind. I've since brought my bike back for a clutch adjustment ( things on a 37 year old bike aren't always perfect) and they were able to turn it around in no time. I've always felt in the dark with shops (even having very basic mechanic knowledge) and for the first time I can say I've actually had a pleasant shop experience.

j s. Los Angeles, CA 4 star rating 10/12/2010 Great guys at Atlantis. Shaun stayed in late on a friday to complete paperwork so I could start enjoying perfectly tuned bike on sat. def. recommended.

N H. Los Angeles, CA 5 star rating 11/23/2010 I was in here last week for a tail light. The guy asked for $2 and i only had a $20. He said: "I dont have change, get me next time." And straight up gave me a tail light. Very Cool..............Super Cool............... Went back on Mon and gave em a $5 for a rubber grommet even thought he asked for a buck, ya know for Karma and all. Good People

Samuel P. Los Angeles, CA 5 star rating 11/24/2010 Atlantis Motors is by far the best shop I have ever gone to for motorcycle repairs. The shop owner and mechanics are sincere, customer-oriented, honest and reliable. They have done excellent work on my Yamaha XJ550 Maxim, including tune-ups, brakes, oil change, and even installed a kickass windshield! Their prices are reasonable and the work is impeccable. In contrast to other shops I have been to, they do not give you attitude if you are not an "insider," rather they welcome new customers. They are respectful about calling to give quotes and get approval before doing extensive repairs. I am grateful that there is a shop around like this, because it allows me to keep my bike running safe and smooth. Rather than risking your life chugging around on a rickety motorcycle, take it in to Atlantis Motors so they can get it running like a champ. And if you want to hear a heart-warming story, ask where the shop got it's name!

Patrick G. Redondo Beach, CA 5 star rating 11/23/2010 From the fist day I met these cats they were so upbeat, friendly and supportive. They took my 71 Honda CB450 and gave it a much needed tune up, and the bike was not only running as good as new, they even spent some time doing a few smaller repairs that went above and beyond just the tune up, as well as cleaning the bike up a bit! They treat you like a friend, and they communicate what's going on every step of the way. If this isn't thee best motorcycle repair shop in all of Los Angeles, I challenge you to find a better one. I take my bike up there (I live in the South Bay) any time I need work done on the bike, and not only are their prices reasonable, they fix it right the first time with no "hank panky runaround" like some of the more unscrupulous bike shops littered throughout Los Angeles. They stand behind their work, and if you have a break down related to a recent repair, THEY tow and they make it right. The nicest, most straight forward cool ass guys I've met in the business. I can't thank them enough for all of the work they've done (even going as far as to work a little bit extra on a Saturday to get me going for a ride that Sunday). John and Sean have been my contacts there, and after having been to the shop a few times just to say hi/pick up accessories, they're always happy to see you and they're genuinely stoked when you're stoked. Thanks to all of the mechanics etc (don't know all of their names but they're all friendly- yes, FRIENDLY mechanics!), who continue to take good care of my bike, and more importantly, their loyal/faithful customers. You guys ROCK. This place will indeed restore your faith in humanity and good business practice. Ride on Atlantis! See you at the next vintage ride!

Kimberly C. Los Angeles, CA 4 star rating 11/19/2010 My friend found Atlantis for me when I decided to finally get my 1975 Honda xl into shape, and I have been thrilled to find a neighborhood place to call home. They've been generous with their knowledge and patient with me as I still have EVERYThing to learn. Great attitudes, great work. Totally happy with my experience and my-now reliable- vintage bike. Photo of Jon F. 0 1

Jon F. Los Angeles, CA 5 star rating 11/19/2010 I just got an 81 honda cb 750f off of craigslist. I took it to Atlantis to get the forks resealed and see if it needed some routine maintenence. They did their patented 30 point review and let me know of what they found. They were very friendly and let me know the issue's but let me choose myself what I wanted them to fix. They weren't forceful. They also let me know of some issues on the bike i may just want to keep an eye on. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They also hooked me up with some parts that they had laying around their shop for very cheap. 5 stars!

0 4 Nima S. Sun Valley, CA 5 star rating 11/28/2010 Great place. The guys here really know their stuff. The owner John is always willing to give motorcycle advice and he really knows what he's talking about. I had them fix a problem another mechanic from another shop created when he put it back together. One of the cooler shops especially for cafe racers, vintage and rare bikes.

Atlantis Motor Motorcycle Garage Photo of Darren M. 4 1 Darren M. Los Angeles, CA 5 star rating 11/29/2010 As I rode my bike in, had a few hours to kill and needed my bike ready to ride to work on Monday, the guys jumped on it like gang busters. Changed out my bars (even scrounging parts I didn't bring) gave it a 30 point inspection and got me down the road in great shape. Can't say enough about these guys

James S. Los Angeles, CA 5 star rating 11/22/2010 I have an '03 Kawasaki KLR and it is getting into bike middle age. Jon, Sean and the gang have tweaked, repaired and tuned the bike many times with efficiency and good cheer. It always seems to be a bit less than what I thought. Nice work, done right.

* JIMMY R. * Los Angeles, CA 5.0 star rating 7/19/2011 well after reading alot of reviews from with in the last 6 months of bike shops in echo park silver lake area i first decided to go to al cycle shop when i bought my bike. i remeber spending about 500 dollars to get it running and i really didnt have an idea of where my bike stood in the sence that i didnt know what eles needed to be done to restore it. i got the gas tank cleaned, the carb rebuilt, brakes rebuilt. 5 months later i begin to hear a clicking sound ini my engine and i dont know where its comming from so i went to al's to seek some advice. al's shop is good they do what they say they are. but for me thats not good enough. al's told me that it is probly a vacumm hose that needed to be fixed. i was not convinced by that answer so i once again thought about atlantis... im not by any means rich so when i called to get the numbers on how they work. 125$ and hour. seemed really steep for me since al's charges 69 per hour. but i made the decision to go with atlantis because of their 30 point inspection. besides identifying the problem they also were able to give me a great idea of where my bike is. repairs. repairs were done in a timely manner and they worked with me as far as the money. i was very low on funds but they showed me exactly what i needed for sure. which was a valve job, carb rebuild, gas tank cleaning. once these jobs were done there was still something making a noise and i requested them to give me my bike back because i did not have any money to put up for any more repairs. i rode the bike that day. and the next morning when i go home the crank case cover had a gash on it and i was leaking oil :( after 2 weeks of not having my bike i was definatly bumbed out but i took it back to atlantis on saturday i arived at 9 am. at around 915 some one was already at the shop and by 930 my bike was being recieved in. by 10am the problem was identified and 3 mechanics were looking at my bike and providing their expert knowledge. and i was right there watching. that same saturday after noon i recieved a call which idid not anser but knew it was good news. oh btw the shop opens at 10 am. on monday mid day i called atlantis and i was told that my bike was being test driven and the mechanic was gone for 20 minutes already. i called back and i was given a price and i was so surprised and happy because it was with in my budget. with out having to wait for parts to arrive through shippment atlantis sent out a mechanic to pick up the parts needed clutch basket and other things from a person in vanuys just so i can be able to ride my bike. i arived and the bike felt way better than when i baught it runs smooth and makes absolutly no noise from any part of the engine . i am so happy and blessed to have found and try atlantis. the price is worth it. these guys are awsome in customer service, turnaround time, work quality, and they are just good people who genuinly want to help others. this is an expirience i will never forget and will keep going to atlntis !

* Daniel O. * Los Angeles, CA 5.0 star rating 6/27/2011 I've never yelped before, and usually i don't have time to spare for reviews, but this particular establishment has done much to deserve praise for their excellence in customer service. Here's an unbiased account of how I came to find these guys: I. The Problem. While I was riding one night, something flew out of my pocket and I immediately pulled up to the curb to run back and fetch it. A few steps away from the bike, and i hear an ominous thud. Turn around, and she's laying on the asphalt. My machine is a v-twin sport monster, and weighs well over 400 lbs dry, so after heaving it back up, I expected some considerable damage: A. A section of one of the radiator's fins were caved in where it had hit the curb. B. Fairings and cowl cracked. C. Right headlight tabs broken. D. Rear brake pedal bent. F. Who knows what else on the inside. II. First Impressions with Atlantis Motors I called them at nearly the end of the day. They were closing up shop and I think I spoke with Sean (hey, sean!) who informed me to swing by, anyway. I arrived ten minutes before they wrapped-up, and they still welcomed me with smiles and good-natured jokes. Then, they took a good thirty minutes of their time to give me a preliminary analysis of the damage. They even told me that some of the repairs I thought I needed might be unnecessary, rather than milk me for all I was worth. I put down $150 deposit, which was later credited toward the repairs, and went home assured. III. Following Up Sean called me back with a price breakdown of the repairs, categorizing the fees by parts and labors in a professional, timely manner. I had found a cheap radiator online, and asked if I could get it shipped to them. They were all for it. Problem was, the post-office had a mix-up and ended up sending the package back to the vendor. When I called Atlantis with this info, they went above and beyond to help me out. First, they called the post-office and spoke with the personnel to figure out what happened. After finding out the package was sent back to the vendor, they sent one of their own guys all the way to El Puente to pick up the package. Who does that these days? IV. One-on-one consultation There were a few problems with the bike's cooling system; the thing runs above 220 degrees pretty often, and Brad (one of their electrical buffs) called me personally and we discussed in detail what would be a good approach to solving the problem, going over the pros and cons of each solution. V. Finishing Up I decided to get the bare minimum done to get my machine up and running, since I needed transportation asap and not riding for a few days was giving me withdrawal symptons. I gave the shop another call and, again, they were quick to accomodate me-- no holding the bike hostage, no hitting me with hidden fees, no BS. The owner, John, spoke to me directly and agreed to getting the bike ready for pick-up by the end of the day, and then told me he would double confirm in a few hours. Not only that, Sean informed me that they had figured out an economical and sturdy work-around to my headlight tabs being broken, rather than spending $300 on a new part. I'm impressed not only by the staff's considerable technical knowledge, but also their unmatched customer service. These guys actually listen to you: they remember your name, your situation, and your preferences. I will definitely be a long time client to this shop.

* David S. * Pasadena, CA 5.0 star rating 4/21/2011 Great Shop! These guys totally helped me out after I got in a small wreck on my Triumph. John and all the guys there really know their stuff and are super easy to deal with. They got me back on the road quickly and I know I'll be back. Support the local independent shop!

* Mazen M. * Los Angeles, CA 5.0 star rating 7/26/2011 I just recently bought a motorcycle and its been having a ton of problems since I purchased it. One day it decided not to start so after doing some research I came across Atlantis and let me say thank god. I bought a bike from Jeremy over at http://VintageHondaCB.com and the bike he sold me never worked properly. It was problem after problem with it and never any results. Stay away from this guy he's a sham and rip off artist. So after calling Atlantis they came and picked up my bike within the hour of me calling them. They took the bike to the shop and did there 30 point inspection and gave me a list of the things that need to be done to the bike to make it safe and rideable as well as other items that just needed to be addressed. After going through the list with them we decided on what need to be repaired and after the work was done the job they did actually came in under the quote I was given. Great job. Work was clean and prompt. Also I am new to having a motorcycle, this is my first bike and the way the spoke to me was great, made me learn about the bike and work they were doing. Bottom line these guys are legit, honest and trust worthy. They use legit parts not cheap knock offs and are not looking to rip you off. They have a customer for life in me. So thank you to everyone over there. Looks like I will not have to look for another shop, this is it.

* Jerry Y. Los Angeles, CA 5.0 star rating 8/2/2011 I recently got my BMW 650CS back from these guys and I can honestly say it was a great experience from top to bottom. The best thing you can say about your mechanic is that you trust them. I totally trust these guys just like I trust my auto mechanic ISE on Hillhurst. They took the time to discover what the problem was and kept me I informed of the progress all along the way. They were also upfront with me about the potential costs and broke those down for me as well. Fortunate for me they came in under the estimate. I'm not one for writing reviews, this is actually my first yelp, but I felt compelled to for all of us that go to a mechanic and feel like you're completely at their mercy which most of us are. You're in good hands at Atlantis, the guys were super cool, and most importantly above all, my bike rides beautifully!!!!!

* chris p. Los Angeles, CA 4.0 star rating 9/24/2011 So....I recently had a botched tune up on my 81 Kawasaki KZ 650. The engine locked. I took it over to the guys at Atlantis and had a great experience top to bottom... The staff are all pro's and want you on the road, they handled my engine swap and tune up after a few months waiting for a new engine and funds to get the work done. They were patient and understanding, but most importantly, they got me on the road when the time came. They also released my bike with a nominal outstanding balance and that's a great show of trust, especially since im on the road. Overall, I would highly recommend you take your bike in to Atlantis for any mod's or repairs.....This experience was refreshing and needed after getting burned at another local shop. Thumbs Up Los Angeles.....

* Josh S. Los Angeles, CA 5.0 star rating 9/1/2011 I needed to get some machining done on aq project bike I'm working on. I brought in the bits and told them what I needed. They quoted me a price that seemed reasonable, and told me it would take a week or so. They called me later in the day, said the job was done. And they charged a few bucks less than the quote A first in my long experience with motorcycle shops: job done right, for a reasonable price, early. These guys are legit.

* Michael H. * Los Angeles, CA 5.0 star rating 10/13/2011 It's so great to find a group of good, old-fashioned mechanics. Smart guys who do more than just plug a machine into the computer. What I found was a shop that knows how to trouble shoot and find the problems. Older and vintage motorcycles are not easy. They are tricky and peculiar. Each one has its own personality and quirks and you need to leave it in the capable hands of someone who will take the time to learn the individual characteristics of your motorcycle and nurse it back to health. And maybe more importantly, they want to you to be an educated rider/owner. They will take the time to talk to you about the particular needs of your motorcycle and how to trouble shoot on your own (which I have found to be mandatory for a vintage motorcycle owner if you don't want to be left on the side of the road). Overall, if you love your bike, want it well taken care of by a group of guy who love motorcycles, and want to be a better, more educated, and more informed rider/owner you would do well to take your "loved one" to Atlantis Motors.

* Danielle M. * Los Angeles, CA 5.0 star rating 10/17/2011 I love this motorcycle garage. I brought my '94 Seca II in for an oil change. I had wanted to do more of a tune-up, but can't afford it at the moment. They were good about estimating the cost of service and keeping me within my budget. And when I rode my beloved motorcycle home, I noticed it was idling better than when I'd brought it in to them. On a personal note, I've been out of the area for a couple of years, but John remembered me and treated me like a regular. In addition, he gave me some excellent advice on how to best keep the oil level in check. Support a quality local independent business by bringing your motorcycle to Atlantis!

* Sara K. * Los Angeles, CA 5.0 star rating 10/19/2011 Atlantis is fantastic! I am a first time motorcycle rider and they are so helpful, I think I've gotten like 8 different riding lessons from each of the guys there. Bought my first bike consignment from them, after realizing it was a bit big (I am a petite lady), I bought a smaller bike from Craigslist & brought it to them. They tuned her up all nice & made two separate house calls afterwards to help me get her started.... she is a '73 and a little fussy, hasn't been ridden much. Bottom line, these guys are so helpful & I always know I can call them when I am broken down and they will get me running again. I highly recommend Atlantis!
